#11 Ventilation, roof & closets

In the last week and a half, plywood has been added to the bed/bath roof and covered with a tarp.  The frame work for the ceiling wood went in and I believe the next step for that is to put the wood ceiling panels in.  We are awaiting some materials before the insulation and roof can go on.

The ventilation with bird blocks/soffits, have been installed.  We will also be eventually adding the Panasonic Whispergreen exhaust fan in the bathroom that will work on a timer.  This was one of the few things made in china that we made an exception for because it blew every other exhaust fan out of the water.  It is by far the most energy efficient one we could find.  We felt that out-trumped our boycott.

The closets for the bedrooms and bath have been started. This is exciting because this gives us a better visual on how big the rooms will actually be.  The main bedroom closet will share a wall with the bathroom linen closet.  The guest bedroom will share a wall with the washing machine nook.  All closets will have pocket doors except the nook which will remain open.

Ventilation with bird blocks, also called soffits

Plywood added to roof and beams to make the ceiling flat. The same Roxul Insulation and metal roof will go above the wood ceiling once that is installed.
